TeamBSC Triathlon Coaching offers you comprehensive and professional coaching services that are individually tailored to meet your needs.

Before we get started, you can expect to have an initial consultation, either in person or over the phone, where we will talk specifically about your experience in sport, your history, your goals, and your other life commitments. Then, after doing some sport specific testing to find your baselines, Your coach will create individualized weekly training plans for you to follow. Through regular email and phone communication we will be assessing your progress and altering your future training accordingly, putting you in the best possible position to achieve your goals.

Our coaches are available on an unlimited basis to help you determine your seasonal racing schedule, including picking appropriate tune-up races along the way to your ‘A’ Goal race(s). We are also happy to consult with you about training and race day nutrition, pacing strategies, injury prevention, time management, and of course, your mindset. We believe it is possible to put it all together!

​When I started training with Taryn, I was a total beginner to both swimming and cycling. She created an individualized training plan for me that got me to my first sprint triathlon finish line in less than two months. Every week, she customized the workouts to develop my skillset and build on the week before. Whether it was working on my endurance in the water or my cadence on the bike, I knew that I was maximizing my time with each one of Taryn’s workouts and learning a lot in the process. Despite poor weather conditions on race day, I had a great race and exceeded my expectations. I credit Taryn with preparing me and helping me overcome many beginner fears and worries.

As someone who enjoys understanding the process, I love that Taryn is a wealth of information about all aspects of the sport, both from personal experience and from her studies to be a registered dietitian. She follows up with me and sends me feedback after each one of my workouts, which opens a dialogue on what went well, what didn’t, and what we should think about next. In addition to the actual physical activity of the workout, she helps me analyze my nutrition before, during, and after the workout. And apart from workouts, she also sends me articles and videos to help me appreciate a particular topic or idea. Taryn is extremely easy to communicate with and gives time and thought to even the most mundane of my questions.
I never thought that I could complete a triathlon, and I’m convinced that without Taryn’s guidance and support, it would have been a much, much more difficult road for me. Her positive energy and love for the sport is infectious.

Not only am I appreciative to Michelle for designing workouts that fit my needs, but she also for helping me realize the potential that I didn’t think was within me.  I was regularly pushed beyond what I would consider a comfort zone, and always came out just fine on the other side! With TeamBSC, I found a training plan tailor fit to me.  Between custom heart rate zones which shifted during my build and power numbers which increased throughout the season, I really felt as though I was getting something that was unique to me.

I have been coached by Michelle for the last year and I couldn’t be more pleased.  I was looking to up my game after my first year doing triathlon and she helped me do just that; two half ironman’s (with a 21 minute PR on the second), a 24 minute PR over my previous year’s NYC Triathlon and placing in the top 4% OA in a local sprint tri (top 18% the year prior).  More importantly she works with me to address any concerns I have in training and is tireless when answering my many questions.  She is always researching information and technique to help improve her coaching and her athletes’ performances.  My overall fitness has improved tremendously and through her coaching, she has given me the gift of confidence.  I know if I set a goal for myself she will be there to help me not only reach it, but surpass my own expectations.

Hi Krista!

I’m just now getting a chance to sit down and email you, but I wanted to say thank you for everything you did to make BSC Camp epic! I had a great time! It was a really great experience for me in so many ways. I enjoyed the challenges and pushing myself, but what really put the weekend over the top were the people. I mostly train by myself or with a couple other crazies, so to have this group of serious, hard core (super nice), really knowledgeable triathletes around me to motivate me, push me and, let’s face it, be role models for how it can be done, was invaluable for me. Not to mention damn fun! So thank you!

It was obvious how much time and energy you put into the planning, organizing, details and logistics of the week, the training and the people. I was continually amazed at everything you were juggling and that you did not once lose your shit!  =) So impressive! So, thank you. Thanks for being the organizer, the calm voice, a motivator, for being super nice and a role model all in one weekend!
